As public health professionals with families across the United States and abroad, we’ve witnessed firsthand how hard it can be to navigate healthcare systems—especially for those facing language barriers, limited access to care, or unclear diagnoses. We’ve seen preventable conditions go unmanaged and lives affected simply because people didn’t have the right information at the right time.
At the same time, we know that the United States leads the world in health innovation—cutting-edge AI, groundbreaking therapies, and world-class expertise. But access to these tools remains unequal. For communities around the globe who could benefit most from this technology, the infrastructure often doesn’t exist. Broadband is unreliable or absent. Systems are fragmented. And far too often, people are left without answers.
